Bill's support for Hillary shouldn't hurt so much

Back in the 1990's, I was a thirty year old woman with three son's and was living pretty well. I had a great job, money in my pocket and most of the people I knew were doing as well or better than I was. In the city of Dallas where I live, the employment pages were filled. There were more jobs than there were people to fill them. Life was great. I knew that one of the reasons things were going so well was because of our president, Bill Clinton. As an African American woman, I was proud. There was someone out there who cared about me.......about us! I felt that I was understood. After the death of my husband, I did not know how I was going to make it as a single mother with three small children. However, President Clinton made life just a little bit easier for me. This was a good time for me financially. He was catching hell from the republicans on most anything that he would do. I was angry with the republicans, because I felt that he was being picked on. I looked at the republicans (and still do today) as a group of hypocrites who were jealous of the countries admiration for Bill Clinton. They made it obvious that they were after him. They would bring him down regardless of what they had to do. But Bill was his worst enemy. But he was STILL my president. Today, Senator Kennedy, his niece and son endorsed candidate Senator Barrack Obama. Why is this a big deal? Because as you may know, the Kennedy family is important to this country and are well respected. Sen. Kennedy was not even going to endorse anyone at this early stage in the race, but was pushed into do it now by no other than President Bill Clinton. Mr. Clinton has made it his life's cause to belittle and bash Sen. Obama hoping that people will turn away from him and towards Bill's wife Hillary. This is the campaign for the democratic nominee for 2008. A campaign that has gotten ugly, yet has caused me to pay more attention. Mostly because I feel as if I've been attacked. Bill Clinton has made statements that has been down right racist. Unless you are a full blown idiot, it is perfectly clear the game that the Clinton's are playing. They have made this race out of race and all along repeating how they have done so much for african american. What a slap in my face as a citizen, an african american and a former Clinton supporter. There is something ugly here. It was not the republican's who used the word Jesse Jackson. It was not republican's who twisted LBJ and MLK. It was not a republican who lied about Sen. Obama's record. It was not a republican who played the race card in South Carolina and then after loosing so badly, gave S.C. very little importance. It was not republicans who lied about there own record of "thirty-five years" (gag). What a great example of black and white mistrust. While claiming to be the torchlight for blacks americans, the Clinton's turn around and try to tear down a popular black Senator from Illinois. Not with truth, but with lies and inuendo. How disappointed I am in Bill Clinton. Hillary is only doing what is natural for her. Remember she was never called the "first black first lady". To point, it has been very hurtful to have people who claim on your behalf to be for you and find out that they have played you for a fool. Because of the word games of Bill, I am one democrat who will never support the Clinton's in any endeavor. When you included the people that I know who feel the same and those they know; there are a lot of hurt black voters. Bottom line: Bill and Hillary Clinton want to hang on to power. They both think that Senator Obama has no right, at this time, to run to president. After all, Hillary has been planning to run for president before she ran for Senator in New York. They both felt that there would be little competition for the big job and that she would wipe out her democratic competition. But Barrack Obama had the nerve and the right to decide to run for the highest job in the land. And the Clinton's thought "who do he think he is?" Yes, some people will say whatever needed to get elected. I guess that now includes the Clinton's. There is no longer any trust or truth in them. If Hillary Clinton is the nominee for 2008, I will vote republican, regardless of who that republican nominee is.
